Learn visual direction with a hands-on poster exercise

After hours is a free, self-paced exercise in visual direction. Inspect a coffee poster, make a guided variation, then apply the same principles to a different brief.

How to use it

  1. Look closely at the subject, hierarchy and composition of the reference poster.
  2. Make your own variation, check it against the requirements and explain a decision.
  3. Respond to a new brief, keep both pieces, then export your poster and reusable model brief.

Try this

Compare “make it premium” with a direction someone can act on: one chrome cup on the right, a large cream headline on the left, and clear space for opening hours.

What you leave with

A 1440 × 1800 PNG poster and a reusable creative brief. You can try the brief in an external image model and bring its result back for self-review.

Good to know

The studio uses existing AI-made artwork and a live layout editor; no model runs here. Requirement checks and reflection support practice, but completing one exercise does not prove mastery.
